This year, on Mother’s Day, celebrities from across the world took to their social media handles and shared some of the most adorable pictures with their mothers, along with heartfelt tributes.
While some penned touching notes, tagging their moms, others uploaded major throwback videos and pictures with their moms celebrating the special day together.
Among many celebrities, popular Pakistani actress and model actress Hania Aamir shared a video with a special message on Mother’s Day.
In the video, the Dil Ruba famed starlet opened up on her strained relationship with her father, which stops her from celebrating Father’s Day.
This is the first time, Aamir has revealed that she is not on speaking terms with her father. Reaching out to her fans and followers, who may go through similar feeling on Mother’s Day, the Ishqiya famed actress said, “Hello, I just wanted to come here and wish you all a very Happy Mother’s Day. I couldn’t find a recent picture with her so I didn’t post anything. But a thought crossed my mind and I felt I should share it.”
Wishing Mother’s Day to her followers, she candidly said that she understands some people have complicated relationships with their mothers and Mother’s Day posts might annoy them. She admitted that she feels the same on Father’s Day.
Adding to that, Aamir said that whatever she’s about to share is very personal and she’s not sure if she should be sharing it. “But here goes,” she geared up.
“Whenever Father’s Day comes up, my father is alive, he’s well and healthy,” she said. “But we have personal reasons and we don’t stay connected.”
“I don’t feel the best on Father’s Day and that’s because we don’t speak to each other. But I do love him, and can’t imagine him not being in this world anymore,” she said.
Aamir said that it is alright to not feel okay if people have complicated relationships with their parents. “I can’t imagine what you go through. I just wanted to come here and acknowledge that if you’re going through something like this, then I see you. It’s okay if other people are celebrating, you hang in there.”
"I'm here sending loads of love, and the warmest hugs," she said, asking for people to just hang in there. "You got this!" added the Parwaaz Hai Junoon starlet.
Many of her fans commented that they watched her video over and over and lauded her for being “courageous and brave.”
