Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan made it clear that racist remarks are not tolerated at all in this day and age.

Varun Dhawan publicly condemned the racist remarks made by YouTuber Paras Singh, where he made fun of the Arunachal Pradesh MLA Ninong Ering in one of his videos. Paras made commentary on the MLA’s looks and said he looks “non-Indian.”

Varun, who has recently spent many months in Arunachal Pradesh shooting for Amar Kaushik's forthcoming directorial movie Bhediya, shared his thoughts on this ordeal on his social media. On his Instagram story, he wrote: “Having spent so much time in Arunachal Pradesh, it is time we educate ourselves and others about how wrong this is. AP (sic)."

The Student Of The Year actor shared Amar Kaushik’s post, who shared the report of the news and penned down a note condemning racism in India. He wrote:

"Being ignorant about your country and its region is stupidity in itself, but when that ignorance is expressed in an offensive manner, it becomes toxic. We all need to call out and condemn such ignorance in one voice and make all idiots understand that IT IS NOT ACCEPTABLE ANYMORE (sic)."

Other Bollywood actors have also spoken about this incident, including Rajkummar Rao. Paras Singh has been arrested by the police for his offence and has been blocked in Arunachal Pradesh.
