Pakistani Nobel Peace Prize-winner Malala Yousafzai made her guest appearance on the popular 90s hit sitcom, Friends: The Reunion show that was aired on Thursday.
The young Nobel laureate shared the influence of the drama series had on her life as well as her moments from the iconic show.
Taking to Twitter on Friday, the activist wrote, “Friends brought friends together.” Yousafzai also shared a clip in which she and her friend Vee were talking about how much they love the series. She also shared that one of her favorite moments from the show is when Monica (played by Courteney Cox) and Ross (David Schwimmer) want to perform their favorite dance in the 10th episode of the sixth season, “the routine.”
Netizens lauded Yousafzai for making it to Hollywood with Friends: The Reunion, as many people commented that they loved watching Malala in the reunion episode and enjoyed this surprise.
Yousafzai has been among the list of celebrities, who have made special appearances in the episode including, Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, the BTS, David Beckham, and Game of Thrones’ popular star Kit Harington.
The reunion episode was a trip down the memory lane for the fans of the show as it brought together the original cast of the show including Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Matthew Perry and Matt LeBlanc.
The reunion episode was originally announced in February 2020. Friends aired for ten seasons between 1994 and 2004. It was also nominated for 62 Primetime Emmy Awards and won the Outstanding Comedy Series award in 2002.
