Acclaimed Pakistan TV and film star Humayun Saeed has spilled some beans about his upcoming project for the television. After breaking ratings record with blockbuster drama serial Mere Paas Tum Ho, the actor has finally given his nod to a television drama.
The Dil Lagi actor is set to mark his return to the small screen with his upcoming production Main Manto Nahi Hoon. As per sources reported, the upcoming drama is penned by famed writer Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar and will be directed by Nadeem Baig.
Moreover, sources have revealed that the Bin Roye actor has roped in Pakistan’s renowned actresses, Maya Ali and Mehwish Hayat for the upcoming drama.
The Teefa In Trouble actress, who recently marked her powerful comeback on the small TV screen with Anjum Shahzad’s drama Pehli Si Mohabbat, will be sharing the screen space with Saeed for the first time.
While the title of the upcoming project suggests that it could be something based on writer ‘Manto’ but Humayun clarified that it is not based on him rather Manto is symbolic to the story.”
The Pride of Performance recipient star revealed that the script of the drama is in the final phase and they will start shooting soon in Punjab. “This drama will be close to my heart as the majority of its parts will be shot in Punjab. Initially, we planned to make a film but then it turned into a drama serial for the audience,” said Saeed.
