Some lesser known facts from the sets of the film Ek Villain will be highlighted here, as the film clocks 7 years today.

The movie was a massive hit at the box office due to its epic story-line, stellar performances and soulful songs.

Ek Villain starred well-known actors of the industry, such as Sidharth Malhotra and Shraddha Kapoor in lead roles.

The filmmakers announced a second installment as they had received a positive response from the audience.

According to Pinkvilla, the sequel to the 2014 release, Ek Villain Returns, is slated to air on February 11, 2022, casting another bunch of acclaimed actors, such as John Abraham, Arjun Kapoor, Disha Patani and Tara Sutaria in main roles.

On the sets of the shoot, Shraddha learnt to ride a bike and even injured herself in the process.

Singer Remo Fernandes naturally mesmerized the audience with his soulful voice in many movies, but in Ek Villain he had a non-musical, acting role.

In order to avoid copyright issues, the name of the movie was changed from Villain to Ek Villain.

The most important fact which was unearthed was that Ek Villain was the remake version of Korean film I Saw the Devil.

Riteish Deshmukh who portrayed a negative character in the film, wore light pale coloured contact lenses, adding to his icy, evil glare.

Prachi Desai took up a short cameo role, and won hearts through her stellar performance in the music video Awari.

The song track of Galliyan was shot in Vaadhoo Island Beach Maldives which shone with a natural bioluminescence.
