Pokémon GO fans received an amazing gift during April Fool's celebration, with The A Shockingly Good Time event introducing Mimikyu to the game for the first time, sparking excitement among all the gaming enthusiasts.
Starting from today, April 1, this rare Ghost- and Fairy-type Pokémon can be discovered in the wild and through Field Research tasks.
Mimikyu is well-known for its disguise: it gets concealed under a Pikachu-like rag.
In combats, it features a special trick, its first Charged Attack won’t hurt it. Following that, it changes to its Busted Form that reduces its Defense for the rest of the fight.
During the event, other Pokémon like Pikachu, Chinchou, Dedenne, and Pawmi will appear more often, and amazing variants of some of these Pokémon will be simpler to browse.
Every day has a Spotlight Hour from 6:00–7:00 p.m., with a different Pokémon: Pikachu on April 1, Magnemite on April 2, Chinchou on April 3, Pawmi on April 4, Dedenne on April 5, and Joltik on April 6.
Field Research tasks will provide encounters with the featured Pokémon, and trainers even meet Alolan Raichu. Mimikyu is also likely to surprise players during Pikachu Spotlight Hour or appear as a reward from the level 30 GO Pass.
The event kicked off on March 31 to April 6, offering trainers enough time to catch Mimikyu and enjoy the fun of this spooky, playful Pokémon.
