Differences between Prince William and Prince Harry may come to an end, and the reason is their late mother, Princess Diana!

The two brothers – who have not spoken to each other since 2022 might reunite for a special yet emotional reason.

Over the weekend, the Daily Mail reported that William and Harry could attend the 30th anniversary of the death of their dearly departed mother, who tragically died on August 31st in 1997.

Why will Prince William and Prince Harry meet next year?

Next year, the Diana Award charity – which both brothers have actively run in memory of their late mom has planned to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the late royal's death in 2027.

Despite having differences, William and Harry have to face each other at an upcoming lavish black-tie gala, expected to serve as the centrepiece of the programme, honouring three decades since the Princess of Wales died.

It is also important to note that the Duke of Sussex and his wife, Meghan Markle, are due to visit Birmingham next summer for the Invictus Games, which might align with the sombre event, and fans could see an emotional reunion between the two siblings.

Prince Harry, Prince William's last public meeting

William and Harry last saw each other with their respective partners, Meghan and Kate Middleton, at the grand funeral ceremony of their late grandmother and Queen of Britain, Elizabeth II, in 2022.

Since then, they have not met, as the future monarch is reportedly distant from his younger brother after he made shocking allegations about his elder sibling's behaviour towards the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in his memoir, Spare, published in 2023.

The Duke of Sussex's desire to meet Prince William

This update came after the Duke of Sussex – who recently visited his homeland earlier this month to meet his father, King Charles III.

During his "off-camera" meeting with his cancer-stricken father and Queen Camilla, the 41-year-old British royal family member also expressed his desire to mend his broken ties with William, who was left out of their Highgrove meeting.

He also made sure that "Meghan is to be part of it, to be closer to his mother's legacy."

Now, speaking about their upcoming reunion, royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams said that it is "of course a possibility" that the brothers could be reunited, as both Harry and William unveiled the Diana statue in the Sunken Garden at Kensington Palace five years ago.

Meghan Markle triggered William after uploading Archie, Lilibet's photos from Princess Diana's grave

However, fans have been divided, and most of them believed it will be impossible for the next heir to the British throne to meet with Meghan, particularly after she posted photos of her two children, Prince Archie, seven, and Princess Lilibet, five, visiting Princess Diana's grave during their secret visit with Harry to the UK.

Last year in August, when sources close to the Sussexes revealed that they are planning to produce a Netflix documentary on Diana, focusing on her tragic death, William sent a scathing message to the couple, warning them to turn down the idea.

After uploading the recent photos, it seems that Meghan triggered the future king, and the reunion of the brothers is currently at risk.
