Morrissey abruptly canceled his Las Vegas residency just days before it was set to begin, citing “unforeseen logistical challenges” behind the last-minute decision.
The 67-year-old former Smiths frontman was scheduled to perform four shows at Wynn Las Vegas, beginning Friday, August 14.
As reported by Consequence, Morrissey’s team has now announced that the performances will no longer take place, citing “unforeseen logistical challenges.”
The shows have also disappeared from the dates listed on Wynn’s official website.
The residency dates are still displayed on Morrissey’s website, while the linked Ticketmaster page now confirms their cancellation.
It stated, “Unfortunately, the Event Organizer has had to cancel your event,” followed by instructions on how to obtain a refund.
The remaining tour dates across North America, Europe and the UK appear to be going ahead as planned.
This is not the first time Morrissey has disappointed fans by canceling shows at the last minute.
In March, the Suedehead hitmaker called off two Valencia performances, citing sleep deprivation.
A message on his website at the time regarding the axed shows at the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía, read: “Having travelled for two days by road, Morrissey reached the hotel in Valencia late on Wednesday.”
It added, “Any form of sleep or rest throughout the night was impossible due to festival noise/ loud techno singing/ megaphone announcements.”
The statement further noted, “This experience has left Morrissey in a catatonic state. Before leaving for tonight's scheduled concert, please check that the show remains possible under these circumstances.”
Meanwhile, Morrissey left fans disappointed again in January when he canceled his third show of 2026.
Morrissey canceled his Atlanta concert just hours before he was due to take the stage, leaving fans disappointed.
They wrote: “Due to artist illness, the Morrissey show on January 17, 2026, at 8 PM has been cancelled,” adding, “All ticket purchases will be refunded automatically at the point of purchase. Please allow 7-10 business days for refunds to take place.”
This year’s string of cancellations follows Morrissey’s decision to scrap several shows across South America last November.
