Britney Spears is offering a rare peek into her hidden thoughts.
The Toxic hitmaker took to X on Friday, August 7, to post a series of images in which she penned her innermost emotions, reflecting on how everyone she was surrounded by exploited her.
In the carousel, which opened with a throwback snap of her sons Sean and Jayden at a beach, the singer recalled that five years ago she learnt that her baby boys were secretly taken to a beach by her parents, Lynne and Jamie Spears, without her knowing.
She revealed that during that entire summer, her father did not allow her to have a hamburger with her friends, despite her being a food lover.
“The pictures I saw of my mom and dad in secret on the beach the whole summer with my children every weekend… I wondered why I wasn’t a part of their cool secret outings,” she shared in the heartbreaking statement.
The iconic pop star continued, “I felt demoralized to live in a country where it was accepted for people like my mom and dad to live secret lives with my children… It was demoralizing… I honestly went to my knees and cried for two months… Society doesn’t understand the real effects to this very day of the rights and freedoms anyone should be able to have… I never got to be me, the real Spears.”
In the statement, Britney Spears also reflected on how the conversatorship made her lose the excitement she had in her eyes, and slammed every person who exploited her.
“I used to be unbelievable intelligent and 100 percent I was brainwashed into an ignorant system where every goddamn person took advantage of me. I firmly believe I am an angel, and it hurts. Time is in a different realm when you’re an angel.”
She added, “I miss the excitement in my eyes being alive when I was younger, always so eager to please and hungry for life. I’ve cried so much.”
In the update, the Everytime singer also heartbreakingly noted that she failed as a mother when her son told her that he does not believe in God and it was all science, because she has a firm believe that “there is a Holy Spirit that sits high in the kingdom of heaven.”

Britney Spears was placed under a court-ordered conservatorship in 2008 after a very public personal crisis and concerns about her ability to manage her affairs.
Her father, Jamie Spears, was appointed to oversee much of her finances and personal decisions.
The arrangement lasted nearly 14 years, until a judge ended it in November 2021.
