Nicola Peltz is set to receive a “Rising Star” award at the Venice Film Festival, despite having spent around two decades working as an actress.

Brooklyn Beckham’s wife recently wrote, directed and starred in the self-funded film Lola.

Her credits also include The Last Airbender, Transformers: Age of Extinction, Bates Motel, Holidate, Welcome to Chippendales and The Beauty.

The Kineo Awards, celebrating their 25th anniversary, note that “in recent years, the American actress, screenwriter and producer has attracted growing international attention through increasingly multifaceted roles, both in front of and behind the camera.”

Peltz will share the spotlight with legendary actress and Oscar winner Faye Dunaway, who co-stars in her new film Prima and is receiving a lifetime achievement honor.

Although it takes place alongside the Venice Film Festival, the event has no direct connection to the prestigious gathering.

She has been working on her indie drama Prima since January, though the film does not yet have an official release date.

It stars Faye Dunaway, Jack Huston, Mira Sorvino and Betty Gabriel.

Peltz stars as Margo, a devoted prima ballerina forced to make life-changing choices as modern changes shake up her ballet company.

The film also drew attention after Nicola raised concern over her drastic weight loss while preparing for the role.

Notably, this milestone came amid the feud between Nicola Peltz Beckham and Victoria Beckham escalated.

It reportedly began with tensions surrounding Nicola and Brooklyn’s 2022 wedding and later grew into a bitter family estrangement.

The feud rumors surfaced after Nicola chose a bespoke Valentino gown over a dress from her mother-in-law’s label.

Brooklyn accused his parents of prioritizing “Brand Beckham” over family, trying to control the rights to his name and “endlessly trying to ruin” his marriage, saying he does not want to reconcile.

He has maintained his estrangement from his parents, describing life without them as peaceful and speaking out against body-shaming directed at Nicola.
