Instagram down? Users report ‘account disabled’ issues as outage hits hundreds
Instagram has grappled with widespread outage today, with users reporting feed-timeline related issues and some are reporting "account disabled."
On Saturday, September 5, 2026, Downdetector, a web outage tracking site, showed a spike in Instagram-related issues globally, with complaints peaking at around 400 at 8:02 AM, as per PKT.
In the USA, nearly 11% users are unable to access the app, with 50% users lodging complaints regarding the timeline-related issues, and the remaining 35% reported issues with the website version of the app.

A user wrote, "Got banned recently for no damn reason luckily i was able to get on Telegran engaging Sуsмаns , who instantly resolved the issue і was experiencing."

Notably, Instagram has yet to officially address the ongoing outage.
