Ben Affleck has made a surprising admission about Jennifer Lopez, two years after their high-profile marriage ended in divorce.
The Accountant 2 star praised ex-wife, the Unstoppable starlet on The Moment with Jorge and Paola Ramos podcast, calling her “probably the hardest-working person” he has ever known and admiring her dedication to the entertainment industry.
Affleck said Lopez had faced considerable challenges while building her career in the entertainment industry, particularly as a Latina in Hollywood.
He commended Lopez for pushing past obstacles and proving her doubters wrong, calling her a pioneer who achieved what many believed was impossible.
Affleck also acknowledged the extra criticism she has endured, suggesting she has had to work harder than others to receive equal recognition.
"I hold her in enormous, enormous, respect and regard," he said, before going on to explain Jennifer's unwavering belief in herself.
"She's pretty extraordinary," he said, adding that he wished her continued success.
Jenifer Lopez and Ben Affleck divorce
Affleck made the comments almost two years after Lopez filed for divorce in August 2024, officially ending their headline-making rekindled relationship.
The former couple famously began dating in 2002 after meeting on the set of Gigli. They became engaged later that year but called off their wedding before separating in 2004.
The pair rekindled their relationship in 2021, almost two decades after their first romance.
They exchanged vows in Las Vegas in July 2022 and held a grand wedding celebration at Affleck’s Georgia estate a month later.
Their second chance at love proved short-lived, with Lopez citing April 26, 2024, as the date they separated.
She filed for divorce four months later, and their marriage officially ended in early 2025.
