Kangana Ranaut has revealed whether she's interested in working for the government as an official seat holder.
Recently, the actress was present as a guest at an event organized for launching a 2024 Telugu film named Razakar: Silent Genocide of Hyderabad.
During the Q/A segment, someone asked whether she has any plans for becoming India’s next Prime Minister.
“I just did a film called Emergency. After watching that movie, nobody will want me as the Prime Minister,” Kangana laughed.
Her upcoming project in question is a biographical-historic movie, where she will be seen playing former PM Indira Gandhi.
Set during the period when India had declared emergency, the Tanu Weds Manu lead expects it to be a long-awaited success after box office failures of her recent pictures.
Critics have predicted that she might give a terrific performance in Emergency since her off-screen life is also riddled with politics.
Kangana is quite active on X, commenting on state affairs from time to time and sometimes ending up in trouble.
Once her account was even banned for breaking participation policies.
Although in 2022, the celebrity told PTI News that she won’t ever be joining politics, many followers think that she will still end up doing so.
