Shreyas Talpade’s wife, Deepti Talpade, has opened up about how celebrities stood by their side when he was admitted to the hospital.
The actor suffered a serious heart attack last December, just after completing the shoot for his upcoming movie, Welcome to the Jungle.
He was immediately taken to Mumbai’s Bellevue Hospital, where doctors treated him with an angioplasty the same day.
Speaking to ABP news recently, Deepti stated that Akshay Kumar kept calling her to stay updated about his friend’s health and insisted that they shift him to a better medical institution.
She said, “He again called me in the morning and said, ‘let me please see him for two minutes. I just want to see him.’ I said, ‘you can come whenever you want.’ Hindi and Marathi film industry was there that day for us.”
Even director Ahmed Khan was so concerned that he paid a visit with his wife to check up on Shreyas at 11 pm and ended up staying at the hospital.
Earlier, Deepti told Times of India that her husband was pronounced “clinically dead” before the surgery’s success gave him another chance at life.
