Kartik Aaryan has announced that Vidya Balan is returning for the next instalment of the blockbuster film series Bhool Bhulaiyaa.
On February 12, the actor shared a video clip of Mere Dholna's original version, featuring Vidya’s classical dance alongside Vineeth Radhakrishnan.
“And its happening. OG Manjulika is coming back to the world of BhoolBhulaiyaa,” Kartik wrote.
Adding that the next sequel will be releasing on Diwali, he expressed excitement for welcoming his senior back to the sets.
Seeing this, fans started pouring their love into words by calling it the “best comeback ever” and a “booming announcement.”
They additionally requested director Anees Bazmi to include a new remake of Mere Dholna in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, where Kartik is choreographed with Vidya.
In the first instalment, she was seen playing Avni S. Chaturvedi, who is seemingly the evil rebirth of a Bengali dancer named Manjulika.
The star was cheered on by critics for her surreal performance, but didn’t return for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 because makers intended to work with a fresh story.
Now that her reappearance has been confirmed, admirers look forward to see how her character will be revived, especially since Akshay Kumar is still missing from the franchise, whereas Shiney Ahuja has been barred from Bollywood.
Many however dishearteningly believe that Vidya is only signed for a small cameo.
