Karan Johar has announced his next love story venture, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari.
Today, on February 22, the Instagram channel of his acclaimed production house, Dharma Movies, published a small clip to broadcast this news.
The film stars Varun Dhawan and Jahnvi Kapoor in lead roles, bringing the pair back together after their 2023’s hit, Bawaal, which brought their on-screen chemistry in demand.
Shashank Khaitan has joined hands with the producers to direct this flick. He is the mind behind Dhadak, Ajeeb Daastaans, and Govinda Naam Mera.
But his most-famous works remain Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Badrinath Ki Dulhania from the Dulhania series alongside Alia Bhatt and Varun.
It’s speculated that the upcoming production is its third instalment with the female heroine being replaced, which is why onlookers expect it to be a romcom that will explore a love clash between two people from different cultures.
Dharma has additionally announced that the movie will hit theatres on April 18, 2025.
Earlier, Bollywood Hungama reported that it will go on floors in late 2024, so the editing phase is scheduled to be finished by the start of 2025.
