Queen director Vikas Bahl shared exciting update about the upcoming sequel of his 2013 hit film, starring Kangana Ranaut in the lead role.
During an interview with News18 Showsha, Bahl dished details on the current status of Queen sequel, including script writing and filming.
“It makes me feel like the film was released just yesterday. I am happy to say that we have finished writing the story. So yes, the sequel should happen,” he said.
Speaking about the success of his 2013’s comedy-drama, which had set the bar so high that the director waited for four years to come up with a sequel.
“If I didn’t feel the pressure of matching up to the expectations that people have from the sequel, I would have already made it four years back just for money. But we were sure we wouldn’t do it until we got a story that delivered as much as Queen did,” the Super 30 director.
Queen revolves around Kangana’s character Rani, who is going through a depressive episode just after her fiancé cancels their wedding, only a few days before the due date.
However, undeterred Rani embarks on a solo honeymoon trip only to rediscover herself and experiences discomforting moments.
