As reported by PEOPLE, Kensington Palace issued an official statement on Tuesday to reassure that the Princess of Wales is “doing well” a month after going through an abdominal surgery.
This update comes shortly after the reports emerged that Prince William will not be attending the memorial service honoring his godfather King Constantine of Greece due to a personal matter.
The Greek royals on Tuesday revealed that the Prince of Wales, who was scheduled to arrive at St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle to honour his late godfather will not be able to attend the event.
For the unversed, on January 17, 2024, Kensington Palace issued an official statement to announced the news of Kate’s surgery, noting, "The surgery was successful, and it is expected that she will remain in hospital for ten to fourteen days, before returning home to continue her recovery."
The statement continued, "Based on the current medical advice, she is unlikely to return to public duties until after Easter. The Princess of Wales appreciates the interest this statement will generate. She hopes that the public will understand her desire to maintain as much normality for her children as possible; and her wish that her personal medical information remains private."
"Kensington Palace will, therefore, only provide updates on Her Royal Highness’ progress when there is significant new information to share," the statement concluded.
