Social media influencer Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan were arrested in Romania on Monday night over sexual aggression charges.

They were arrested after the issuance of a warrant by UK authority over the charges dated back in between 2012 and 2015. Investigation is still pending.

Andrew Tate who has over 8.7 million followers on X and brother Tristan along with two Romanian women were charged in case with allegations of human trafficking, rape and for forming organised criminal gang. 

All four were formally accused by the Romanian prosecutor last June. The brothers previously got jailed and were also under house arrest in December 2022.

Tate won the appeal and was allowed to travel within the country and was released from house arrest in August 2023.

According to the Tate brother’s representative they declined all allegations and they were forcibly detained for 24 hours.

The PR representative stated, “the Bucharest Court of Appeal is slated to make a pivotal decision today (Tuesday) on whether to execute the mandate.”
