American rapper Jonathan H. Smith, known as Lil Jon, has converted to Islam, stirring a media frenzy!
A video of Lil Jon circulated online which saw the rapper reciting the Shahada at the King Fahd mosque in Los Angeles in front of a large congregation.
Diva Magazine shared the breaking news of Jon’s conversion which sparked numerous reactions from the netizens alike.
Lil Jon has worked on numerous tracks and features over the decade of his career such as the likes of Yeah by Usher including Turn Down for What, Let’s Go and Act a Fool.
It is pertinent to note that Lil Jon is not the only one who has taken the big step but other renowned celebrities have converted to Islam in recent years also.
