Imtiaz Ali has picked Kareena Kapoor over Deepika Padukone when it comes to their acting chops.
In a recent interview for Connect FM Canada, the host asked him to choose between two of Bollywood’s most-remembered movies: Jab We Met and Cocktail.
Responding to the question, Imtiaz went with the first film.
Moving on, the host then inquired which female superstar would he pick going by the previously mentioned pictures: “Kareena in Jab We Met or Deepika in Cocktail?”
“Very tough! But let me say Kareena because I was the director,” the filmmaker safely replied after making several calculations in his head.
While the first of these flicks were his, the second was reeled by fellow director Homi Adajania.
Although Cocktail remains talked about to date, Jab We Met has achieved an incredibly higher celebratory status among fans. Kareena’s work in the production has a cult following of its own.
In an earlier chat with Indian Express, she had mentioned, “Everyone thinks Poo and Geet means Bebo.”
But regardless of the success and love that their collaboration brought, she and Imtiaz never got together for another picture again.
