Sara Ali Khan rejoices freedom struggler Usha Mehta’s birthday on auspicious occasion of Holi


Sara Ali Khan, who played the role of freedom struggler Usha Mehta in Ae Watan Mere Watan wished the gandhian happy birthday in a heartfelt Holi post.

The Murder Mubarak actress, marked the auspicious occasion of Holi by remembering Usha Mehta on her big day.

Taking to her Instagram account on Monday, the Zara Hatke Zara Bachke actress shared an adorable video of herself from the beach, soaking up the sun.

Clad in a white chiffon saree, with colorful circles printed all over it, Sara struck some dramatic sun-kissed poses.

She tied her hair up in a high pony tail and opted for a soft glowing makeup for the occasion.

Alongside the video, Sara Ali Khan penned a sweet wish for her fans and sang praises for Usha Mehta, on her 104th birthday.

“Wishing everyone a Happy & Safe holi, Feeling sunkissed, in my Saree with rangoli, And also Happy Birthday to Usha Mehta Ji, What a woman! Spirited and Fiery, Feel only grateful to have been able to tell your story, A story of sacrifice which became a legacy of glory, #purnima #gratitude #joy,” wrote Sara in her caption.

Reacting to her video, Sara’s ardent fans also wished her Happy Holi and sang praises for the Love Aaj Kal 2 actress.

“I don't know what magic is in your picture, whenever I see it, my heart becomes happy,” a fan noted.

Another wished, “Happy Holi Dear God bless you.”

A third commented, “Wow, so very beautiful, glours sunshine, Happy Holi.”

Sara Ali Khan recently appeared in Netflix film Murder Mubarak, premiered on March 15, and Amazone Prime Videos film Ae Watan Mere Watan, released on March 21, 2024.
