Kiran Rao has finally addressed trolls who have been ridiculing her looks ever since she became popular after having tied the knot with former husband Aamir Khan.
In a recent interview with Sucharita Tyagi, she begun by saying, “I don’t even know what scrutiny I’m under because I don’t even read all this. And I feel like that’s a really healthy way to live your life.”
But, then, the director quickly turned tables and exclaimed, “Because there’ll always be people who find you odd-looking and strange and ask, ‘Aamir Khan ne kis chashmish aurat se shaadi kar li hai?’ ”
This means that once upon a time, Kiran was paying heed to whatever opinions were held by critics regarding her appearance as she is known for having a quirky dressing sense.
While some look up to her as a daring icon who has a peculiar taste in styling herself, others are plainly unable to understand it.
In fact, in the same chat, the star even mentioned of having faced personal and professional “biases” by people who started issuing such statements once Aamir made his first public sighting with her.
Now, she fortunately doesn’t bother with them.
Kiran freely rolls around in her short dyed curls, oversized glasses, screwball outfits, and a genius’ smile.
