Kartik Aaryan will be shooting for his first action flick in the second half of 2024.
Vishal Bhardwaj has joined hands with producer Sajid Nadiadwala for the second time after their 2017 movie, Rangoon, to create a well-seasoned thriller together.
A budget of 150 crore INR has been allotted by financers that will be split between filming sequences in Spain and Greece according to Bollywood Hungama.
One of the portal’s sources have informed that Sajid recently sat for a meeting with some Spanish government servers to confirm shoot schedules.
Most recently, Pinkvilla has acquired the title of this production.
As per an insider, makers have settled for the name Arjun Ustara, which is an unusual choice considering Bhardwaj’s previous taste.
He has usually aimed for serious cinema as well as sober titles with Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola being the most offbeat one used.
Initially, the director had sought to make this picture with Irrfan Khan, who frequently appeared in his works.
A release by 2019 had been planned, but it was eventually shelved for the time being because of some issues, and now the year 2025 has been locked.
While fans say hand-picking Kartik right after Irrfan is an incredibly regressive leap, they have faith in Bhardwaj’s imaginative ability to tell stories.
He has however not given a decent movie after the 2015 crime drama, Talvar.
