Celebrity hairstylist Aalim Hakim, who popularly pools tried and true actors from every single movie industry, recently gave an interview to Brut, where his standard fee was given away.
He said, “Almost 98% of the Indian films are styled by me, whether it’s south or north. My fee is very simple, and everybody knows how much I charge. It starts from Rs. 1 lakh. That’s the minimum.”
“Salman Khan, Fardeen Khan, Suniel Shetty, Ajay Devgn – they all became my clients 20 years back and they are still my clients. Now, this is loyalty. They have never changed me as their barber,” the hairdresser added.
The famous Hakim’s Aalim from Bandra West, Mumbai belongs to him. Celebrities and their hair routine, preferred shampoos, styles that suit their faces are all found stored in its database.
Rajinikanth in Jailer, Prabhas in Baahubali, Hrithik in War, Ranbir in Animal, Shahid Kapoor in Kabir Singh, and Vicky Kaushal in Sam Bahadur were all given their looks by Aalim.
In the same interview, he even touched upon Virat Kohli’s recent makeover.
“Virat always has references like, ‘We’ll try this, we’ll try that next.’ Since IPL was coming up, we decided to do something really cool. We did a slit in his eyebrows,” the stylist noted.
