Taylor swift has now equaled Madonna’s record for the most number one albums by any female artist in UK chart history.

As per DailyMail report, Swift's latest album, The Tortured Poets Department, has claimed the top position on the UK charts, solidifying her 12th number one album.

Notably, Swift becomes the first artist to achieve 12 number one albums in the UK during 21st century.

The Tortured Poets Department, delves into the Loverhitmaker's personal life, drawing inspiration from her past relationships with Joe Alwyn and Matty Healy of The 1975.

Within one day of its release, the album set a record on Spotify by accumulating over 300 million streams.

In addition to her album's success, Swift’s trackFortnight featuring Post Malone has clinched the number one spot on the single charts.

The album's sales in its first week also surpassed the previous record of Swift's own album, Midnights.
