Karan Johar brews controversy yet again after he failed to mention the Pakistani superstar Fawad Khan’s name in his Ae Dil Hai Mushkil tribute.
On Friday, the Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani director dropped behind-the-scenes pictures from the 2016 sets on his Instagram handle that featured the likes of Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai with no mention of Fawad Khan.
Karan penned a heartwarming note to describe the moments, "The experience of filming ADHM was one of my best on-set experiences.”
He continued praising the other three actors, “Anushka and Ranbir were such a treat to direct… I always wanted to direct Aishwarya and she gave Saba so much dignity, poise, and beauty."
Within the same message, the acclaimed filmmaker also talked about his bond with the Animal actor.
"I got to know and love him as a person and appreciate his detachment from stardom or movie star trappings,” he added.
Soon after the Lust Stories director shared the post, followers noticed Fawad’s name was missing from the note and expressed disappointment in the comments section.
"The caption is so beautiful, but not a single line for Fawad? Why, Karan?” one upset user wrote.
Another user noted, “How smoothly you skipped mentioning Fawad Khan… Surely it wouldn't have been that damaging? Disappointed here in Lahore.”
To note, this is not the first time that Karan Johar expressed his reservations about working with Fawad Khan.
