Prince William was left with a mere mix of four words when Prince Harry told him that Meghan Markle was expecting their first child together.
According to Mirror, the Duke and the Duchess of Sussex unloaded their pregnancy news while the royal family was at Princess Eugenie’s marriage with Jack Brooksbank.
In his bombshell memoir, Spare, Prince Harry wrote that the announcement was made to his big brother at the reception that took place in St. George’s Hall.
“We were in a big room, suits of armour on the walls. Strange room, strange moment,” he recalled.
Then came the big moment when Prince William was told that Prince Archie is going to be born soon.
The Prince of Wales simply smiled and, diverting attention to his wife, said, “We must tell Kate.”
Now, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle distractedly rushed to Kate Middleton and unpinned another bomb without receiving good wishes from Prince William.
“Princess Kate gave a big smile and hearty congratulations. They both reacted exactly as I hoped - as I'd wished,” the Duke of Sussex expressed.
He added that King Charles was in particular “delighted” upon being cornered for the big news.
Prince Harry penned, “Just before a drink for the bride and groom, we cornered Pa in his study. He was delighted to learn that he was going to be a grandfather for a fourth time. His wide smile warmed me.”
