Prince Harry’s old pals and wife Meghan Markle do not get along, with both parties ‘loathing’ each other, as per a royal insider.
Royal author and expert Tom Quinn, in a chat with Mirror UK, shared that while Prince Harry likely misses his old Etonian and army friends, his wife Meghan is not a big fan of them, especially given their hunting interests.
Quinn said: “The truth is that many of Harry’s old friends – especially from the military and Eton – just don’t get on with Meghan.”
The expert then explained: “Hugh van Cutsem’s decision to work with Jeremy Clarkson – famous for his savage attacks on Meghan – is seen by Harry as an unforgiveable betrayal.”
“The only thing that makes it bearable is that Harry knows Meghan dislikes van Cutsem and his one claim to fame: his ability to shoot deer.”
“For Harry the end of his friendship with van Cutsem is just cutting one of the last few ties with his old life; a life he never much enjoyed anyway,” Quinn concluded.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle moved away from their royal life in 2020, two years into their marriage, and now live in the US with their two children, Archie and Lilibet.
