A total solar eclipse made its way across the United States, Eastern Canada and Mexico on Monday, April 8.
In the highly-anticipated total solar eclipse, people witnessed the moment when the moon completely blocked the face of the sun, experiencing dusk at dawn.
According to Sky News, the eclipse was first witnessed at Mazatlán, Mexico, at around 11:15 am local time (7:15 pm UK time).
The total eclipse lasted up to 4 min and 28 seconds. Darkness descended after the sun was covered by the moon, and a noticeable drop in temperature was observed.
After that, the solar eclipse moved through multiple US states and major cities, including New York, Dallas, and Indianapolis, before making its way to Eastern Canada.
