Vidya Balan is now moving to the comical side of her filmy career.
Sitting for an interview with Pinkvilla recently, she was asked about stepping back into the Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise.
Responding to this, the star expressed that it’s a different kind of excitement because she has not starred in a funny movie for ages now.
“As an actor, I think I've not had the opportunity to do comedy, and I am yearning to do a comedy... Now more than ever,” Vidya voiced out, adding that it’s her most-favorite genre as a film-watcher.
She continued, “I’ve enjoyed all the films that I've done, but now I feel ke, yaar, hasna hasaana hai. Thore dinon ke liye, thore time ke liye, thore saalon ke liye.”
So far into her two-decade-long career, the actress has starred in many hilarious movies, such as Lage Raho Munna Bhai, Shaadi Ke Side Effects, and Hey Babyy, but her roles in them weren’t truly comical.
They were only limited to delivering some sober humorous dialogues here and there, mostly teasing or quipping back at another person.
Now that Vidya is looking forward to properly step into the genre, fans can’t wait for her to squeeze giggles out of them because she has a very distinct style of delivering punchlines, as was noted in Bobby Jasoos and Tumhari Sulu.
