Kate Middleton being showered with words of praise from Anne Hathaway has once again swept hearts as she battles cancer.
Now on medical treatment, the Princess of Wales has been remaining absent from public, leading fans on social media to recirculate previous appearances and references made to her in pop culture.
Among those, a video uploaded on TikTok has gained over 300,000 views within 24 hours.
In the footage, Anne was seen sitting for a 2014 Good Morning America interview, where the host inquired who her favorite princess is as, at the time, the second part of Princess Diaries had clocked in ten years.
The star took a pause, then replied, “Right now, I think my favorite princess is Kate Middleton. I’m gonna go with Kate Middleton. I think she’s lovely and she makes me very happy… and that royal wedding just could not be beat.”
In this response, she was referring to the grand marriage of the Prince and Princess of Wales.
A few days after their engagement in November 2010, Anne had portrayed Kate in a royal sketch featured on Saturday Night Live.
Following this, she even told The Sun about wanting to play the Princess in a movie as well.
“I haven't really thought about it before but, yes, why not? She’s great. It’s such a fairytale,” the actress expressed.
