Muslim K-pop star Daud Kim to build mosque in Korea: 'I have signed a contract'

K-pop Vlogger, Daud Kim, who embraced Islam five years ago, has announced his plans to build the first-ever mosque in Korea.

Turning to his official Instagram handle on Saturday, Daud uploaded a picture of himself on an empty plot of land holding a paper contract.

“Finally, with your help, I have signed a contract for land to build a Masjid in Incheon,” captioned Daud.

He added, “This place will soon become a mosque. I can‘t believe this day has come...I plan to build a prayer place and an Islamic podcast studio for Da’wah to Koreans.”

“I believe that It‘s truly a huge step. There will be many hardships but I believe I can do it. Until the day when every street in Korea is filled with beautiful Azan. I will do my best,” the caption further read.”

Daud Kim then concluded his post with a financial appeal from his fanbase, listing his bank account details.

Two days later, the singer and actor posted another video mounting hopes as he walks over the land he believes will one day house his mosque.
