Katrina Kaif opened up about how dance played a crucial role in her career.

In a recent interview with Variety, Katrina expressed her profound love for dance, highlighting it as the singular art form that beautifully conveys human emotions.

The Ek Tha Tiger actress, said, “Dance is one thing, but I feel like Kathak is about expression. It's about a feeling, it's about expressing yourself through music. And that, for me was my foundation for movies. It was about understanding the emotion and the language of cinema."

Reflecting on her past, Katrina described herself as a shy and introverted person, struggling to define her identity. 

However, through dance, she discovered a powerful means of self-expression and found her true voice.

She expressed,"I was almost quiet, a little timid, very naive, I wasn't sure of my identity in terms of what was my voice, my expression as a girl, as a woman. I was very young. So, I think that (dance) really helped me find my voice.”

In the same interview, Katrina opened up about the time when she received an offer from the Hollywood and she turned it down due to unfavorable circumstances.

The  Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara actress told, “I do believe it will happen, and I think that will be a whole new leaf in my book, so to speak, and really exciting.”

On a work front, Katrina Kaif last appeared in film Merry Christmas alongside Vijay Sethupathi.
