Creed frontman Scott Stapp and his wife Jaclyn have called it quits after eighteen years of marriage.
As per the report, the couple are proceeding with a divorce.
According to court documents filed in Williamson County, Tenn., Jaclyn initially filed for divorce in June 2022, but withdrew the filing. then Scott filed for divorce in May 2023.
The representative of the Higher singer said to PEOPLE, “Out of respect for their family, Scott intends to navigate this difficult time privately."
"Scott and Jaclyn had determined the marriage was over but continued to try to make it work," insider added.
The former twosome always showcase their love and feelings publicly throughout their years-long marriage.
In 2020, Scott commemorated their 14th wedding anniversary with a touching tribute to Jaclyn on Facebook.
He wrote, "Her love, dedication, loyalty, perseverance, commitment, and friendship has saved my life and given me a life beyond my wildest dreams.”
The My Sacrifice singer added, "Jaclyn, you have shown me that true love and faith has no end, just new beginnings."
Scott Stapp and Jaclyn were married on Feb. 11, 2006, after first meeting at a gala for the Muscular Dystrophy Association in New York.
They share daughter Milan, 17, and sons Daniel, 13, and Anthony, 6, while Stapp is also dad to son Jagger, 25, with ex-wife Hillaree Burns.
