The Voice has crowned a new champion as Asher HaVon takes a title for season 25.

HaVon clinched the victory for Team Reba in her second season, winning season 25 on Tuesday, May 21.

The host Carson Daly said, “Asher had not sung for two years before the blind auditions and now has won it all.”

HaVon won against Josh Sanders from Team Reba, Karen Waldrup from Team Dan + Shay, and Nathan Chester and Bryan Olesen from Team Legend.

The coaches were first impressed by the singer-songwriter during his blind audition when he performed a cover of Adele's Set Fire to the Rain.

He received a three-chair turn.

"Asher what an incredible voice you have. Your range, your power, I couldn't wait to turn around and see what you look like. And not disappointing at all. Way to go," said Reba McEntire.

Meanwhile Chance the Rapper, said, "I'm not gonna play with them man. I instantly turned around because I could tell you trying to win this competition and you should. Everything that you did was phenomenal. It was next-level. I was blown away by it.”

During an interview with PEOPLE, earlier in the season, HaVon attributed his successful journey on the show to being authentic.

"Always being the fullest version of myself when it comes to showing up," HaVon said of what matters most to him.

He added, "A secret that is so loud yet can be looked over all the time."

To note, HaVon began his singing career in church and gained more attention in 2015 as a choir director, where he sang for President Barack Obama in Selma to honor the 50th anniversary of the Selma Montgomery marches.
