Tina Knowles shares Beyoncé’s advice to her daughter Blue Ivy Carter after she received hate comments for her performance.
During a dialogue on Vogue‘s The Run Through podcast recently, Tina recalled her granddaughter’s performances during Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour.
She told the host how “every night her dad and me would get on this platform out there and we would just be screaming our heads off, like, with no shame at all.”
Tina added, “One of her friends came back and showed her some negative comments and it was a great life lesson because her mom basically said, ‘Listen, if you let this get you down, then they won. So you should go and work harder.”
The Grammy-winning singer’s mother further noted that her granddaughter worked on Beyoncé’s advise.
She concluded, “And, you know, just work harder and get your skills together and go out there and blast it,' adding, “So it actually worked in Blue’s favor because she was only supposed to do it one time.”
Tina also revealed that Beyoncé didn’t want her young daughter to perform in front of her show’s massive crowd, but later on she agreed to it.
