Kelly Rowland has finally spoken up about her viral Cannes moment, when she was caught on camera while furiously scolding a security guard for an unknown reason.

While talking to Associated Press at the amfAR Cannes Gala in France on Thursday, the Lose My Breath singer explained the reason behind losing her cool at a security guard at the Cannes premiere of her film Marcello Mio, on May 21, 2024.

"The woman knows what happened. I know what happened. I have a boundary, and I stand by those boundaries, and that is it," she told the outlet.

Kelly went on to explain, "And there were other women that attended that carpet who did not quite look like me, and they didn’t get scolded or pushed off or told to get off."

"I stood my ground, and she felt like she had to stand hers, but I stood my ground,” she added.

This clarification comes shortly after a video of Kelly from her film Marcello Mio's premiere went viral, in which could be seen scolding a female security guard, when she was escorting her towards the venue.

Kelly Rowland's video went viral on social media, leaving her fans curious about the real reason of her heated argument with the female escort.

Kelly's French-Italian comedy flick Marcello Mio is written and directed by Christophe Honoré.
