Amy Ryan, who played Holly Flax on The Office, revealed the reason behind the lasting success of show even a decade after it ended.

While talking to PEOPLE at the 2024 Meet the Tony Nominees press junket earlier this month, Amy gave credit to The Office lasting success to its humor.

The Lost Girls actress noted, “There's a new crop every season because the show, it's 10 years old off the air by now, but the fan base is getting younger and younger.”

Amy revealed that she feels happy to see young people loving the how as, “they seem to be turning to it for comfort.”

The Academy-Award nominated actress further expressed, “Maybe it's also a time when you interacted with people without your phones and a probably younger generation is wowed by that.”

“It's for good reason that the people are finding it and the humor seems to be holding up, so it's nice,” she concluded.

The Office’s first episode was premiered on NBC on March 24, 2005 while its finale was aired on May 16, 2013.

For the unversed, almost a decade after the The Office concluded, its spin-off is also in the works now.

According to Peacock, the filming of untitled series will begin in July this year, with Domhnall Gleeson and Sabrina Impacciatore confirmed as cast members.

The title, release date, and more casting details of show are yet to be announced.
