A Japanese man named Toco, who invested $14,000 to turn himself into a dog (border collie) now wishes to transform into a different animal.
Toco, who has documented his journey on his YouTube channel "I want to be an animal," said he wanted to fulfill his childhood dream of becoming an animal and exploring life as a dog.
In a recent interview with a Japanese news outlet WanQol, Toco revealed his desire to live as a new animal.
Meanwhile, he mentioned four animals he wants to try but acknowledged that two of them might be impractical due to logistical challenges.
Toco said, "I'm researching ways to make my limbs look more like a dog's. It takes a lot of effort to clean the fur when it gets dirty. I would like to become another animal, possibly another dog, a panda, or a bear."
He further elaborated, "A fox or a cat would be nice, but they are too small for humans to try. I'd like to fulfill my dream of becoming another animal someday."
Previously, Toco chose to transform into a collie because it is his "favorite breed."
Meanwhile, he frequently posts videos on his channel showing him going for dog walks, eating dog food, and learning new tricks.
Toco further said, "I made it a collie because it looks real when I put it on my taste and costume. My favourite is quadrupedal animals, especially cute ones. Among them, I thought that a big animal close to me would be good, considering that it would be a realistic model, so I decided to make it a dog. Long-haired dogs can mislead the human figure. I met such a condition and made Collie, my favourite breed of dog."
He also revealed that he receives numerous comments from viewers wanting to follow in his footsteps, which he finds encouraging.
Moreover, psychologists suggest that Toco might be a Therian, someone who identifies as a non-human animal species, distinct from Furries, who enjoy occasional cosplay in animal costumes.
