Princess Anne meets British Olympic athletes in Paris

Princess Anne supported participants before Olympics 2024

Princess Anne is currently in Paris, and today, she went out to wish The Great Britain Team “every bit of success” before it takes a shot in the upcoming Olympic Games, starting July 26.

Upon reaching the Embassy site, Director of Sports Service Mark England personally greeted and escorted her around to meet athletes, as per Hello!

As the president of the British Olympic Association, Princess Anne gave a speech for offering words of encouragement to the athletes who will be competing this year.

She said, “I hope you will feel that this is the environment which encourages you to perform at your best, although you won’t know that until it happens.”

“But if it’s a personal best, you can be imminently proud of what you’ve achieved because you will know you couldn't have done any better,” Princess Anne added.

Then, she posed for a sweet little group photograph with Team GB, then went on to meet rower Helen Glover and diver Tom Daley, who will be bearing the flag at the Friday’s opening ceremony.

This happens to be Princess Anne’s first ever overseas journey since she got discharged from the hospital after having suffered a head injury last month.
