Celine Dion exuded timeless beauty in a poignant throwback photo of herself, in which she can be seen standing in front of the Eiffel Tower as a young girl.

The viral throwback picture was taken decades before her return to live performances at the Paris Olympics last week.

On Friday (26 July), the My Heart Will Go On crooner left fans gushing with her performance at the Olympics opening ceremony.

She delivered a heartfelt rendition of Édith Piaf's Hymne A L'Amour (Hymn to Love) from the base of the Eiffel Tower.

Over the weekend, ESPN posted the throwback photo of the Canadian singer with the caption, “How it started... How it’s going.”

In an earlier Instagram post, Celine admitted that she was “full of joy” to be back in Paris.

She penned, “Most of all, I’m so happy to be celebrating these amazing athletes, with all their stories of sacrifice and determination, pain and perseverance. All of you have been so focused on your dream, and whether or not you take home a medal, I hope that being here means that it has come true for you!”

Celine concluded the post with an encouragement note for her fans.
