Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo are thrilled to see themselves as Barbie dolls, ahead of their starring roles in the upcoming big-screen adaptation of the hit musical Wicked.

In a heartwarming video posted to Instagram which was taken at Las Vegas during this year’s CinemaCon in April showed the duo reacting with delight as they see their in-character dolls for the first time.

Erivo, who plays Elphaba, and Grande, who plays Glinda, are seen gasping in shock and excitement as they take in the miniature versions of themselves.

Elphaba’s doll version wore a stunning black dress and pointy black hat.

Meanwhile, Glinda is depicted in a gorgeous pastel-pink gown, complete with long blonde hair.

The dolls, created by Mattel, play snippets of the stars' vocals from the upcoming movie and feature intricate details, including Erivo's anxious eyebrows and Grande's baby hairs.

“What a dream come true to be realized as Elphaba and Glinda in the form of Sweet Little dolls. Little Cynthia and little Ari are pleased,” Erivo wrote in a caption.

This is not the first time Mattel has created Barbie dolls in the likeness of actors and movie characters, as they have previously unveiled dolls inspired by Mariah Carey, Zendaya, and the cast of the 2023 Barbie movie.

The Wicked movie, directed by Jon M. Chu, is set to hit theaters in two parts, with the first installment premiering on November 22 and the second on November 26, 2025.
