As a father of four daughters, Matt Damon has learned a thing or two about the challenges of raising girls and now, he's sharing his expertise with fellow girl dads.

In an interview on SiriusXM's Radio Andy on Thursday, Damon, who shares four daughters Isabella, Gia, Stella, and Alexia with wife Luciana Damon, has shared his philosophy on raising his daughters.

"I wouldn't deign to give anybody advice other than I just try to listen and be helpful. I mean, ultimately, it's about building self-esteem," he noted,

Damon continued, "Because, you know, 99% of the decisions they make, you're not gonna be there,” the Oppenheimer actor advised."

When asked about his reaction to his daughters' boyfriends, Damon debunked the stereotype of the overprotective fathers. Instead, he described himself as "cool" and "fine" with their relationships.

In fact, Damon has given his seal of approval to his eldest daughter Alexia's boyfriend.

"She's got this incredible boyfriend who Lucy and I just love. We adore the guy and to see that she's making those kinds of choices, really, it's as good as it gets,” Damon said of Alexia.

Matt Damon’s laid-back approach to being a girl dad was on full display at the premiere of his Apple TV+ film, The Instigators, where he was accompanied by his wife and four daughters.
