Pakistan is currently witnessing the third wave of the coronavirus outbreak. The health officials have declared that the third wave is more dangerous and deadlier than the previous ones.
However, a big number of people have been spotted violating the SOPs including, not wearing safety face masks and organizing events with big crowds, avoiding social distancing.
Former Pakistan cricket team captain Wasim Akram has shared his concerns over the alarming situation. He posted a video message for his fans and followers on Instagram on Saturday, and urged people to take good care of their health in such difficult times.
He began his video, hoping that people from Pakistan and across the world will be in good health, especially in these testing times.
Moving on with his message, the cricket star, in his unique way shared that he had read and seen that coronavirus cases were rising in Punjab, especially in his city Lahore, Islamabad and Rawalpindi. He also asked people that, "Please follow the SOPs. Why are you so stubborn?”
Speaking of people, who do not follow the government's anti-coronavirus SOPs, Akram, 54, shared that there is a 'plan B' for the authorities to implement when it comes to SOPs violations.
Sharing his ‘plan B’ in Punjabi, the fast bowler went on to say that the authorities should be given two slaps to the SOPs violators as people won’t understand in a normal way. “Legends,” he said in a sarcastic manner.
