On Thursday, Pakistan’s most popular band Strings announced that they are splitting up after 33 years, leaving their fans heartbroken. 

The band comprised two members, Bilal Maqsood and Faisal Kapadia, and the former shared why the two decided to part ways.

Maqsood told a publication, “We have not split up, this is just a mutual decision to close this chapter.”


Both the musicians have not yet revealed any other details regarding Strings break up, but fans are requesting them to do one last concert.

The duo gave many hits like Sar Kiye Ye Pahaar, Durr, Dhaani, Ye Hai Meri Kahani, Najane Kyun, Anjane, Aakhri Alvida and many more.

The band kept their fans entertained for three decades with their soulful tracks. Initially the band comprised of four members namely Rafiq Wazir Ali, Bilal, Kareem Bashir Bhoy and Faisal. 

Maqsood also posted a picture of "final band meeting" with all the band members.
