In a shocking yet expected turn of events, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have officially called it quits after two years of marriage.
The couple who got married in a dreamy Las Vegas wedding on July 17, 2022, have parted ways as JLo officially filed for divorce on Tuesday, August 20, in the Los Angeles County Superior Court.
According to the court document obtained by the BBC, Lopez or her legal representative is required to formally notify Affleck with a copy of the divorce petition.
Moreover, the estranged couple must share their financial information with each other, including their current income, expenses, properties, and debts. Both of them can share updates or changes to their financial situation ‘until there is a final agreement about all financial issues in your case.’
Lopez has 60 days to submit her finances to the court, after which Affleck will also get 60 days to provide his financial information.
