Bollywood actress Kriti Sanon shared her thoughts on the theatrical release of her upcoming film Mimi, which is a highly anticipated female-centric movie.
Kriti revealed that the movie might get released in mid-2021, but everything is quite uncertain at the moment due to the surge in Covid-19 cases in India. The actress firmly believes that the movie is centred around an extremely important topic, and it is almost crucial that the movie is watched by the masses.
The film’s production work wrapped up last year in March but due to the theatres shutting down during the Covid lockdown, it hasn’t been possible for the producers to find an opening that would suit the release date. Kriti shared her feelings about the movie Mimi, which is very close to her heart, to get released on OTT platforms.
“Of course, they are great platforms, and everyone is hooked on to it,” she continued. “They have got great content. As an actor you want it to reach the masses, even the ones who don’t really go on these platforms.”
Apart from Mimi, the starlet has many projects lined up for her. Her forthcoming movies include Bachchan Pandey alongside superstar Akshay Kumar, Bhediya alongside Varun Dhawan, and Hum Do Hamare Do alongside Raj Kumar Rao.
