Kareena Kapoor Khan is still celebrating her iconic Geet and Poo eras!
The Crew actress, known for her versatility as she has played some of the most iconic characters in her acting career has spoken up about peoples’ obsession with her roles in hit films, Jab We Met and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham.
During her recent interview with Times of India, the Singham actress revealed that her fans still want to see her playing characters like Geet and Poo.
“In the last 25 years, the first decade went in people assuming that I was Poo, and the other went in people thinking I am Bhatinda ki Sikhni Geet. Maybe I am a mix of both,” she noted.
The Heroin actress revealed, “I want people to know that I am an actor who is very passionate about her job. People like to see me in roles like Geet or Poo more, perhaps because they are more connected to the masses.”
Kareena further highlighted the significance of staying humble as an actor, confessing that "It took many films for people to take me seriously as an actor.”
The wife of Saif Ali Khan also noted that she worked so hard and with dedication to mark her trajectory in Bollywood as a versatile actress, so when a film like The Buckingham Murders is released, people pay attention.
"I have constantly tried to prove myself as an actor for the past 25 years. And I don’t want people to say you have done it all, now what? I have a long way to go,” said Kareena.
To note, Kareena Kapoor Khan was last seen in Netflix film Crew, followed by The Buckingham Murders, which was also released on the OTT platform.
