B-Town stars pay tribute to composer Shravan Rathod

On Thursday, renowned Indian music composer Shravan Rathod, of Nadeem-Shravan duo, passed away after suffering from serious Covid-19 related complications.

Rathod had tested positive for Covid-19 and was later admitted to SL Raheja hospital in critical condition where he breathed his last.

Many Bollywood stars remembered Rathod’s 90s evergreen hits and paid tribute to him.

Akshay Kumar tweeted, “Very sad to know about the passing of music composer Shravan. Nadeem-Shravan created magic for many films in the 90s and later, including Dhadkan that has remained legendary in my career. Deepest condolences to his family.”

Madhuri Dixit-Nene wrote, “Heartbroken to hear about Shravan Rathod's passing this morning. Your name will live on forever through your timeless melodies. Thank you for your music and for being a part of my journey with Saajan, Raja and many more films. My deepest condolences to the family and friends in grief.”

Ajay Devgn tweeted, “Shravan (and Nadeem) walked 30 years alongside me in my career with the evergreen album for Phool Aur Kaante. Very sad; very unfortunate to hear of his demise last night. Condolences to his family.”

Salim Merchant added, “Shravan bhai is no more. My respects and condolences to his family. Nadeem-Shravan has given us some of the biggest hits in the 90s. Covid-19 has taken so many lives. Don’t know when this will end...Really saddened by this news.”

Shravan and his partner Nadeem were known for their work in Pardes, Raja Hindustani, Hungama and Deewana.
